WWI History Ruler - 30cm
The World War I History Ruler is plastic and measures 30cm long. It shows measurements in both inches and centimetres. On the inches scale it includes units of 1/16 of an inch and on the centimetre side units of 1 millimetre.
The front of the ruler shows a silhouette image of World War I British troops, aeroplanes and tanks on a battlefield. A red poppy, the symbol of World War I remembrance, is on the right.
On the reverse is a World War I timeline with dates and historical information. The timeline starts from 1914 when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated and runs through to 1919 and the Treaty of Versailles. Highlights include August 1914 when Germany declares war on Russia and France and Britain declares war on Germany. The first Battle of Ypres in October 1914, July 1915 the Battle of the Somme and Passchendaele and on to 1918 with the Armistice signing by Germany.
