The Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Elizabeth II medal with the BRITT OMN legend was awarded until 1954, after which the legend was changed to DEI GRATIA. The only difference between the medals is the change of the Latin text around the front edge of the medal. The medal was awarded for 15 years exemplary conduct, with second award bars for each further 10 years of service.
