The satin gold Crown is finished in semi-relief style to enhance its appearance, contains purple enamel for the cushion and is encrusted with an imitation diamond and rubies. The Union Jack, Service flag and separately mounted Emblem are hand-enamelled, all with a bright nickel or gold electroplated finish creating a unique identity and profile to each design. The reverse of the Jewel has a frosted effect and is fitted with an individual, jewellery quality, safety brooch behind the flags along with an attached safety chain for extra security.
