Gilt Rosette for a Ribbon Bar
This gilt (gold) full size rosette should be attached to a ribbon bar to indicate that 4 or more 2nd Award bars have been awarded to a medal. Once the recipient has recieved 4 award bars to the same medal, on the ribbon bar the 3 silver rosettes are removed and replaced by 1 gilt or gold rosette. The rosette should be stitched to the medal ribbon the bar was awarded to.
Not all clasps would be represented with a rosette, for example a General Service medal would always have a clasp as part of the medal design, and not a seperate award, therefore no rosette would be worn on the ribbon bar.
Typically a silver rosette would be used for 1 or 2 awards. The gilt rosette is only used for 4 or more awards. If you require a silver rosette please CLICK HERE instead.
This full size gold rosette comes with 2 pre-drilled holes so that it can be stitched directly onto the medal ribbon. This is a single gilt rosette sent on its own, without the ribbon bar for you to stitch to the ribbon yourself.
If you would like to order a new ribbon bar with a rosette (that we will stitch on for you) please CLICK HERE instead - please state that you require the gilt rosette and not the silver rosette when ordering.
