Operation Overlord on 6th June 1944 was one of the key turning points in the Second World War. On D-Day, 6 June 1944, the United Kingdom, the United States, and their allies launched a combined naval, air and land assault on Nazi-occupied France.

This year, as we commemorate 80 years since D-Day and the Normandy Campaign and mark this important moment in British military history, I am proud to confirm AWARD's continued support as sponsors of The Spirit of Normandy Trust. The Spirit of Normandy Trust supports the welfare for veterans and promotes educating the younger generation and the general public about the Normandy Campaign, the events leading up to them and their historical significance during World War II.
