Miniature Battle Of Britain Bar
The Miniature Battle of Britain Clasp was awarded to members of fighter aircraft crews and RAF personnel who were engaged in the Battle of Britain, between the 10th July and 31st October 1940. Britain's war time leader Winston Churchill referred to these men as "The Few, who gave so much".
This miniature bar can only be worn on the 1939-45 Star, only 1 bar can be worn on the ribbon of each WWII star. On the ribbon bar this award may be represented by a silver rosette.
The miniature bar is gold in colour to match the medal and bears the words "BATTLE OF BRITAIN". The ribbon is placed through the middle of the clasp and it is slid down to sit just above the top of the medal suspension ring on the ribbon. There is no need to stitch or fix the miniature clasp in place.
