2023 King Charles III Coronation Miniature Medal

The 2023 Coronation medal was awarded to mark the coronation of King Charles III on the 6th May 2023. The medal will be awarded to approximately 500,000 people including to everyone involved with the coronation ceremony, serving members of the Armed Forces, Frontline Emergency and Prison Services personnel that have completed five full calendar years of service. Members of the Royal Household and living recipients of the George Cross and Victoria Cross are also eligible.

The obverse features a double portrait of Their Majesties designed by Martin Jennings and the reverse has a version of the Royal Cypher, a laurel wreath and the date of the Coronation. The ribbon is dark blue with a central red stripe edged by white lines and 2 narrow red stripes at the edge, representing the colours of the Union Flag.

To be eligible to wear this medal you must have been serving in 2023 and in service 5 years prior. The set can be purchased for collection purposes only if you are not eligible, but should not be worn. Those who are currently NOT serving should NOT wear this medal.

AWARD miniature medals complement the full-size official medals and are normally worn for formal dinner dress occasions.

All official medals are sent loose on the ribbon unless medal mounting is also purchased on the same order.
