The North American P-51 Mustang was used in the Second World War by the US Army Air Forces and the RAF. One of the most famous mustangs was the Duxford-based Big Beautiful Doll, flown by Colonel John D. Landers, one of the USAAF's most successful Second World War flying 'aces'.
