The Victory Medal (also known as The Allied Victory Medal) was a campaign Replica Medal issued to all those who received the 1914 Star or the 1914-15 Star, and to most of those who were awarded the British War Medal.
Bronze Medal Design
The obverse of this medal bears the winged figure of Victory holding a palm branch in her right hand with her left extended. The reverse has the inscription ‘THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILISATION 1914-19’ surrounded with a laurel wreath. Ribbon is attached via a ring which passes through a small loop sweated to the top of the medal.
