Commissioned by the Normandy Veterans Association the miniature of the commemorative medal is a tribute to those who took part in the famous Normandy Campaign of World War II.
Medal Ribbon
The ribbon comprises of the red, dark blue and light blue colours of the 1939-45 star arranged in a significant sequence. The centre in flame red represents the Army, which was carried on the mission by the Navy - represented by two bands of deep navy blue.
These bands are in turn bound by equal bands of blue-grey representing overall protection of the invasion by the Air Forces. This is the miniature of this medal - the full-size medal is also available by application on this website
Normandy Veterans Association Donation
The sponsors have pledged ten percent of the net cost of each item sold to be donated to the Normandy Veterans Association.
