The British Forces Campaign Medal, sponsored by The National Service Foundation, has been struck and issued by Award Productions to pay tribute to and recognise the contribution of British Forces involved in campaigns and operations otherwise unrecognised. Each 36mm diameter die-struck, nickel plated medal has been produced in the UK to the exacting standards for which we have become renowned.

Beneficiary
This important issue has been sponsored and supported by The National Service Foundation. 10% of the net sales of each full size medal sold will be donated to The Foundation which was established to: maintain the National Service Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum; educate future generations of the sacrifices made during the historic period of conscription; host a free annual reunion & commemoration open to all, both military and civilian.
Eligibility
Qualifying criteria for this medal is one or more days service or posting in one or more of the qualifying regions or operations in FALKLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND, GERMANY, GIBRALTAR, SINGAPORE; service alongside NATO forces or as part of a NATO-led initiative, protection of a BORDER and/or COASTAL PATROL.
Medal Obverse
The obverse features a compass-like design representing the global dominance of our Great British Forces, surmounted by a crown representing our monarch’s place as the head of the armed forces and framed with the bold, proud statement ‘BRITISH FORCES FOR CROWN & COUNTRY’.
Medal Reverse
The reverse of this important issue displays a victorious laurel wreath surrounding the crowned words ‘FOR BRITISH FORCES CAMPAIGN SERVICE’.
Ribbon
The simple yet thoughtfully designed ribbon – red, white and blue, the colours of the flag of our great nation. Each medal is supplied ready to wear.
Clasps
Eight die-cast clasps have been produced to cover important operations and postings. Each clasp, struck to match the style of the medal, is securely fixed to the medals’ suspender bar. The clasps detailed opposite are available for your British Forces Campaign Medal, the cost of the full-size and miniature medal includes ONE clasp but you can add as many additional clasps as are relevant to your service (for an additional charge). If ordering more than one clasp, please state the order in which you would like the additional clasps mounted on your medal. The first clasp will be mounted closest to the medal with additional clasps mounted above. Please clearly state clasps required when ordering.
