Award Productions is a specialist personalised gift shop for all occasions and one of the largest suppliers of military commemoratives.
Award Productions Ltd has sponsored and issued 20* commemorative medals, all at the request of, or in conjunction with a bona fide veteran group or charity which benefit considerably from the proceeds of each medal issued.
We are proud to announce the striking of The Commemorative Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal, struck to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s ascension to the throne.
Available to all those who have served Queen and Country from 6th February 1952, the date Elizabeth II ascended to the throne, or those who are currently serving members of the Armed Forces, Emergency Services personnel (paid, retained or voluntary), Prison Service, Police Community Support Officers, holders of the Victoria Cross and George Cross, St Johns Ambulance, Civil Servants and members of the Royal Household. Next of kin and direct descendants may also apply. The miniature medal and all other items are available without restriction. The Government of the United Kingdom will be striking an official medal which will be issued to eligible serving personnel only. Many deserving individuals will not be eligible to the official issue including all those who are no longer serving. Applications can be made using the enclosed catalogue, online at www.awardmedals.com or contact us for an application form.
Can you wear commemorative medals or foreign medals? The directive from the Ministry of Defence in the U.K. is that: - they may not be worn alongside official awards & decorations or on official uniforms.
In the past these medals were usually worn on the right breast, but in the U.K. it has now become customary for them to be worn on the line below official issues, and medals of next of kin worn on the right breast.
Please note - Each country and many associations have their own rules and therefore we can only give guidelines and advice. Most people this applies to are now civilians, so in our opinion we feel that within reason, there should be allowance for personal preference.
For your information, listed below are the groups and charities for which we have sponsored medals and related projects as a result of which we have been able to raise over £1,000,000 from royalties and donations to date.
